NTPC orders for 20 nos. Refrigeration type Compressed Air Dryers for ash handling plants at Sipat STPP Stage II (2 x 500 MW), Kahalgaon STPP Stage II (3 × 500 MW) and Unchahar Stage III (1 X 210 MW)

Bry Air (Asia), part of the Pahwa group, has acquired the global business interests and marketing rights from Bry Air Inc, USA, which includes the Bry-Air brand and all trademarks of Bry-Air Inc., USA
Bry-Air Inc., USA will remain an autonomous and financially independent corporation with manufacturing, sales and marketing rights licensed for USA, Canada and Mexico from Bry Air (Asia)

The process of globalisation requires a constant change. Some our high tech components/products supplied to USA, Europe, Japan, etc by our export division, Desiccant Rotors International (DRI) have gained wide acceptance abroad. In India the same products are manufactured and sold by Arctic India Engineering. To streamline and have one identity the world over for this group company, plans are on anvil to change the name from Arctic India Engineering Pvt. Ltd. to Desiccant Rotors International…..DRI

preferred Delair to supply of 9 nos of Refrigeration Type Compressed Air Dryer having capacity of 2500cfm (Model FDI-4310W)& 2nos 500 cfm (FDI-850W) for their Kolghat 250 MW power plant expansion in Kolkatta.

for its Birla Copper Unit at Bharuch, Gujarat opted for delair Refrigeration Type Air Dryer (ModelFDI-6000W) for 3500 cfm.

opted to install 2400cfm Heat of Compression type dryers (H.O.C) for (-) 40°C dewpoint for its Baddi project at Himachal Pradesh.

‘The dealer meet was inceed a very enriching and learning experience The high levels of dedication & motivation of tha entire Delair Marketing Team has really inspired me’.
“It was a team participation. A lo: of new points were discussed during meel will really help us lo counler tough situations. I wish all my dealer friends successful yca for achicung the largets & assure you that we (Western Region team) will try to achieve the same”
‘I feel we all had a wonde ful time creating a good bond in addition to ve’y useful discussions on all Delair Products for efficient marketing for all time to come. I am sure we will be meeting more often and holp cach othe wherever we can. Please do not resitete to call me up for any help al any lime.”

The seminar “Compressed Air Drying in Steel Plant and other Engineering Industries” organized by Delair at Jamshedpur focused on the ‘Use of Dry Compressed Air in Instrumentation and Process Application’ generated enthusiastic participation from industrial majors like TISCO.
Nearly 73% of India’s total installed power generation capacity is thermal, of which coal based generation is 90%. The utility thermal power stations, besides the several captive power plants, use bituminous and sub-bituminous coal and produce large quantities of fly ash. The process of coal combustion results in fly ash. Thermal power plants need dry, compressed air for Fly Ash conveying.
Bulk material is conveyed by air under pressure. This system offers advantages of conveying material from one point to another or to a number of discharge points. The system is composed of a blower or a fan, rotary lock, cyclone separator, divertor, piping and fittings bag filter.

Pressure conveying system needs dry compressed air to transport dry fly ash from the surge hopper to the silo for ash storage. Here, the dry ash is mixed with the compressed air-ash mixture being conveyed through the pipeline which runs upto the storage silo where the ash is discharged and the air is released into the atmosphere after filtration. If moisture is present in the compressed air stream, the ash gets moistened, sticking to the sides of the pipeline leading to scale formation and corrosion of pipes.
Moisture in compressed air stream leads to
Malfunctioning of pneumatic shutters
Relief from Moisture :
There can be tremendous saving of energy costs if the compressed air is dried upto 2 to 5 °C PDP (Pressure Dew Point) instead of (-) 20°C, corresponding to ADP of -20°C to – 40°C respectively. For most cost effective removal of moisture from the compressed air stream, Delair engineers suggest installation of Refrigeration Type Dryers since Heatless Type Dryers use more power because of the purges process of reactivation. Delair has been able to save production and energy cost for many thermal and cement plants by installing its wide range of Refrigeration and Adsorption Compressed Air Dryers. Some of the satisfied customers who have installed Delair Dryers in their manufacturing units include:
